Former Barcelona forward, Neymar has reportedly said “it was hell” to play with Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain in a warning to his Brazilian compatriots at Real Madrid.

Neymar and Mbappe played together on 136 occasions for PSG and combined for 54 goals between 2017 and 2023. With the former now at Al-Hilal and the latter joining Real Madrid earlier this summer, Neymar has reportedly warned fellow Brazilians Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao that playing with the French international was “catastrophic” at times.

According to journalist Cyril Hanouna, Neymar contacted Madrid’s Brazilian contingent and warned them about Mbappe.

On Europe 1, Hanouna said: “The Brazilians [at Real Madrid] are friends with Neymar. It has always been a war between Neymar and Mbappe. Neymar has sent a paper about Mbappe to the Brazilians, telling them that it was catastrophic, that it was hell.”

The two have reportedly been on frosty terms for quite some time, with Mbappe admitting in September 2022 that his relationship with Neymar at PSG was “hot and cold”. It appears relations have not improved since then, despite them now being on different continents.

While Neymar is still recovering from a serious knee injury he suffered last year for Al-Hilal, Mbappe could feature for Madrid in the first game of their Champions League title defence on Tuesday at home to Stuttgart.
