Ikhenoba challenges Insurance players to improve despite win over Pillars
Bendel Insurance assistant coach Greg Ikhenoba says the technical crew will work on the lapses identified in their victory against Kano Pillars.
Ikhenoba said the players made a lot of mistakes in the first half of their 2-1 win over the Sai Masu Gida.
He however commended the players for their determination to get the maximum points in the game.
Ibrahim Mustapha Yuga put Katsina United in front in the 13th minute before Insurance rallied to win the game through goals from Sunday Anyanwu and Meyinwa Oritseweyinmi.
“I must commend the boys. They reacted well in the second half and got rewarded with the two good goals,” he told the club’s media.
“You could see the antics of our opponents as they started delaying the game after their first-half lead goal.
“I am happy that we were able to come back into the game and win.”
Bendel Insurance now have 41 points from 30 games in this campaign.
