Super Eagles defender, Zaidu Sanusi on Monday underwent a successful surgery at a hospital in Sao Francisco, Porto.
Professor Jose Carlos Noronha, supervised the surgery, according to Portuguese website, A Bola.
Sanusi copped the injury in FC Porto’s Primeira Liga clash with Estrela da Amadora two weeks ago.
It was the left-back’s first game for the Dragons following his return from Africa Cup of Nations.
The 26-year-old will be sidelined for around seven to eight months.
The Nigeria international is expected to return to action at the start of next season.
He has made five league appearances for Porto this season with one goal to his name.
