The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has hailed the president of the Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria (TFN), Abdullahi Saidu and Taekwondoist, Elizabeth Anyanacho, 24, for her qualification for the Olympic Games.
The Taekwondoist, competing in the 67 kg weight class had dispatched Kenyan Jully Musanga in two rounds at an African/Olympic qualifier in Dakar, Senegal this year.
For Anyanacho, Oly would make it a back-to-back appearance at the global showpiece.
She was at the Tokyo 2020 Games, where appeared as a bronze medalist from the Morocco African Games in 2019.
”Anyanacho will be attending the Paris Games later this year as a more mature Lady. She is good to go, ” whipped, Saidu, President of TFN.
”We are more confident in her abilities now than ever before. Lizzy is in good spirits, taking it easy with a buildup training here in Abuja and eagerly waiting to take part in the African Games to be held in Accra, Ghana.”
