Nigeria’s senior women national team, D’Tigress are intensifying trainings in its camp in Antwerp, Belgium, venue of the Olympic Women’s qualifying tournament that begins Thursday.
Training under the watchful eyes of head coach Rena Wakama, the team has continued to show determination and unbridled enthusiasm to nick the ticket, amid tough oppositions from host Belgium, USA and Senegal.
Despite resuming the camp few days ago, the players have been displaying grit, passion, unity of purpose and dedication in training, ahead of the games. Already, the team like fish to water, has taken to the workings of Coach Wakama, who led the team to Afrobasket title in 2023.
