Port Harcourt Agog As 11th Chief of Naval Staff National Swimming Championship Begins

The 11th Chief of Naval Staff National Swimming Championship in collaboration with the Nigeria Aquatic Federation will hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State from Wednesday, January 31 to Sunday, February 4,2024.

President of the Federation, Chief Mrs Chinoye Daphey Aliyu says the competition would enable them to pick the best in swimming for the All Africa and Olympic Games this year.

The Chief of Naval Staff,Vice Admiral E.I.Ogalla, who was represented by Navy Captain S.M.C. Umeh, believes that the championship would boost the integration in this sector of sports and facilitate the discovery of fresh swimming talents in Nigeria.

Opening ceremony, according to the Secretary of the Nigeria Aquatics Federation, Mr Joel O.Akinluwa would be on Thursday, February 1,2024 at the Swimming Section of the Alfred Diette Spiff Civic Center, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
