Our Programmes For February – Nigeria Tennis Federation

The Nigeria Tennis Federation has rolled out its programme for February 2024.

President of the Federation, Engineer Ifedayo Akindoju said the federation will be involved in both local and international competition.

He listed some of the approved events as VEMP Wheelchair International Tennis open, World Team cup , Africa qualification and the ITF J30 junior Circuit.

The Wheelchair will take place between February 4–6 and is fully sponsored by the Tennis boss with sum of 3000 dollars up for grabs.

Ifedayo revealed that the World Team cup, Africa qualification zone will be hosted by Nigeria for the second consecutive year
It is scheduled for February 7–11 while ten countries have indicated interest to participate.

The President further confirmed date for the ITF J30 to be hosted between February 14 to 25 ,2024 in Abuja while the S60 category will hold in June .

“Our players and coaches are already in camp for the events They are expected to slug it out with Tanzania, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Egypt, Rwanda Morocco, Cameroon and. . Mauritius.

Nigeria will be represented by 12 players at the World Team Cup.
