The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), has scrapped the position of its Performance Director, just as it named Commodore Omasteye Nesiama (rtd) as head of the Competition Committee.
AFN Board had dissolved all its committees earlier this month after serving for two years as agreed at the beginning of the tenure in 2021.
Other members of the Competition Committee are Samuel Onikeku, Maria Wophill, Dr. Solomon Alao, Henry Okorie, Pro. Lucas Ojunjimi, Bolakale Alake with Rita Mosindi as Secretary.
The Technical Committee is headed by Samuel Onikeku, with Victor Okorie, Ezra Gunnen, Seigha Porbeni, Charles Himmah, Gabriel Okon, Dr. Solomon Alao as members, while Rita Mosindi serves as secretary.
The Ethnics, Disciplinary and Safeguarding Committee is headed by Maria Wophill, with Tafida Gadzama, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (rtd), Prof Emmanuel Ojeme, Chief Ellias Usman Gora (Esq) as members, while Rita Mosindi is the secretary.
The Budget, Marketing and Sponsorhip Committee has Dr. Solomon Alao as Chairman, with Dare Esan, Prof. Olatunde Makanju, Dr. Isaac Ogada, Mrs. Yemini Tinubu, Babajide Odedeji as members, while Rita Mosindi is the secretary.
The Media and Publicity Committee has Gowon Akpodonor as Chairman, with Ohis Asein, Ben Efe, Uzor Odigbo, Felicia Nwaokorie, Maxwell Kumuyi, David Ngobua as members, while Rita Mosindi is the secretary.
The Education and Youth Development Committee has Pro. Emmanuel Ojeme as Chairman, with Rosa Collins, Hon. Usman Yusuf Dahiru, Maria Wophill, Prof. Okpako as members, while Rita Mosindi is the secretary.
Medical and Anti-Doping Commission has Prof. Ken Anugwaje as chairman, with Victor Okorie, Dr. Paul Onyeudo, Samuel Onikeku, Pharm. Femi Ayoride, Dr. Bukola Bojuwoye, Dr. Effi Usen, while Taldang Tanlmu is the secretary.
