Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar, has reiterated that the “Keep-Fit-Lagos” initiative will continue to receive the backing of the Sports commission in order to encourage mass participation in physical activities.
The pilot edition which paraded critical stakeholders in sports and people from all walks of life was held on the 9th of December, 2023 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
While commending the success recorded at the inaugural edition, Gafaar stressed that the platform will continue to align with the philosophy mantra of Promoting a safer Lagos and engaging the people in a productive activities.
“We must do the right thing and encourage ourselves to live a healthy lifestyle”.
With the second edition coming up on 13th January, 2024, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, it will be another interesting fitness platform gear towards creating awareness on health education.
One of the major highlights of the event include health talks that will be handled by certified medical personnel.
The programme is an initiative of the Lagos State Sports Commission in collaboration with the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Damilare Orimoloye, with the purpose of contributing positively to the physical and mental wellbeing of the people of Lagos State.
