N2m Prize Money For Grabs At Delta FA League Finals in Kwale

Delta Football Association (DFA) Chairman, Chief Ken Nwaomucha, has increased the prize money for the upcoming second edition of the state’s football league finals holding at the Kwale Township Stadium on November 16, 2023, the four competing teams will now vie for a whopping N2 million, up from the initial N1.8 million.

Nwaomucha outlined the revised distribution, with the league champions securing N1 million, while the second, third, and fourth-place winners stand to earn N500,000, N300,000, and N200,000, respectively.

Emphasizing the commitment to widespread football development, Nwaomucha highlighted that the league finals would take place in Kwale Stadium.
He assured thorough preparations for a seamless event and urged participating teams to adhere to the game’s rules.

In the spotlight are two outstanding teams, PFA FC and Great Avengers, solidifying their positions in the grand final. Alongside the championship spectacle, a captivating third-place match between Ndame FA of Kwale and Mighty Wanderers of Abraka is scheduled at the Kwale Township Stadium, kicking off at 12 noon.

Beyond the on-field clashes, this year’s finals promise a day filled with side attractions and festivities. From pre-game activities to halftime shows, the event aims to entertain and engage the audience, reflecting Delta State’s renowned footballing passion.

As the 2023 DFA State League Cup Final approaches, the Kwale Township Stadium is poised to host a day of thrilling football action, camaraderie, and a celebration of the beautiful game in a state synonymous with footballing fervor.
