The Olympic Solidarity through the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has been awarded, the IOC Solidarity funding to host a Level 3 Coaching Course for coaches of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF), from October 15 to October 21 , 2023.
According to a statement issued by the NOC Public Relations Officer Tony Nezianya, 25 coaches from different states of the Federation are expected to participate in the programme which will be held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The course is an initiative of the IOC through the Olympic Solidarity and the National Olympic Committees; it is designed to support the development of coaching and mentoring, skills and techniques of individuals and teams to reach their full potential performance by helping athletes attain their potential in the sport.
The 5-day training course which is expected to run from Friday, October 15 to October 21, 2023, is, going to be anchored by international federations approved facilitators, Vincent Aka from France and will be assisted by Zac Dominguez from the United States.
