Inzaghi becomes third highest-paid coach in Serie A after Inter renewal

Simone Inzaghi has become the third highest-paid coach in Serie A after his renewal with Inter.

The Nerazzurri confirmed Inzaghi’s extension until 2025 on Tuesday. As reported by TMW and Il Corriere dello Sport, the 47-year-old is now the third highest-paid coach in Italy’s top flight, following Juventus‘ Massimiliano Allegri and Roma‘s José Mourinho.

Inzaghi’s salary raises to €5.5m per season following his contract renewal with Inter, while both Allegri and Mourinho get €7m-a-year.

Milan‘s Stefano Pioli is the fourth with a €4m-a-year salary, followed by new Napoli boss Rudi Garcia, Atalanta‘s Gian Piero Gasperini and Lazio‘s Maurizio Sarri, who all get €3m.

This is Inzaghi’s third season at Inter. The Italian tactician has won four trophies during his time at the Stadio Meazza and reached the Champions League Final in 2022-23, losing to Manchester City in Istanbul.

The Nerazzurri have won all the opening three Serie A games of the season and will face Milan in the Derby della Madonnina after the break.
