Onyedinma Earns Mattress Online Man Of The Match for Leicester

Rotherham United winger Fred Onyedinma has been voted the Mattress Online Man of the Match for his display in Saturday’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Leicester City in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Millers put in one of their best performance of the campaign against the Foxes but despite a strong start, they found themselves behind when Kasey McAteer netted in the 13th minute.

Matt Taylor’s men didn’t let their heads dropped and equalised when Onyedinma – on loan from Luton Town – turned Andre Green’s cross home with a deft header for his second goal since arriving at AESSEAL New York Stadium in the summer.

The home side continued to ask questions of the promotion favourites, with Onyedinma often the focal point of the attacks, but suffered late heartache when McAteer added his second of the afternoon with a clinical finish from Callum Doyle’s pass.

Onyedinma earned 49.8% of 580 votes cast and saw himself nominated alongside Christ Tiehi, Ollie Rathbone and Tyler Blackett.
