The home appliances producer, Midea has announced the Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland as its new official global ambassador.
This action enhances the partnership between Manchester City and Midea, which was established in January 2020 and later renewed earlier this year.
The home appliance company intends to work with City’s treble winner in upcoming seasons, using a range of content initiatives, unique item giveaways, and other digital activities to link Erling’s fan base with Midea consumers and football lovers across the world.
Eric Wang, President, Midea Group’s Smart Home Business, commented, “Erling Haaland is a household name, a player the entire world is looking at and talking about. He is so humble yet so powerful, and at 23 years old has such a potential to still be unleashed – similar to our Midea brand. We’re so delighted to kick off our partnership with him today.”
On the deal, Erling Halland said, “Midea are a proud partner of Manchester City and I’ve enjoyed being part of campaigns during my time with the club so far. I’ve noticed the Midea logo across the Etihad Stadium and having learned about their size and ambitions, I am pleased to become a Global Brand Ambassador today. The first video we shot a few weeks ago was really fun and I am looking forward to working together moving forwards.”
The Midea Group is a Chinese electrical appliance firm with headquarters in Beijiao Town, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong, and a Shenzhen Stock Exchange listing. As of 2021, the corporation has 200 subsidiaries and more than 60 international branches, and it employs about 150,000 people worldwide.
